- 1Halloween night glows. Jacob's pumpkin costume and green stem cap bob as giggles call.
- 2Past glowing pumpkins, Jacob chants, "Giggle, giggle, where are you?" The sound skips ahead.
- 3The squeaky gate sings, and Jacob's hands hover. The giggles call from beyond.
- 4Jacob opens the gate. Creak, creak, the porch boards answer from the funny old house.
- 5At the round window, Jacob listens. It wobbles once, and giggles roll underneath.
- 6The letter slot snorts. Jacob leans close, then jumps back as the house chuckles.
- 7Jacob's knees wobble. Both hands knock softly. "Hello, giggles," Jacob calls.
